“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”– Rumi
Love is soulful. We love. We fell in love with an extremely strong urge to get married. Immediately. It was an urge like neither of us could explain nor have we experienced beforehand. There is a depth to soulful real love. It is unlike any other feeling we have to, or with, anything else.
We married in haste in a small ceremony that Lorena designed and executed. Scripting the ceremony was a flow of emotions, ovations, odes and reference – all to unlimited love and to all the ancestors and soulful guides. Our wedding was officiated by a sage spiritual friend of ours. It was as if all 26 guests were floating on a cloud of deep emotion.
When Lorena was first asked to officiate it was by our friends @delsolphoto. It was a very small and heartfelt wedding of an eloping couple on the rocks in Tulum. Shortly thereafter Lorena was requested to officiate a wedding with 60 guests and she invited me to participate in making the rituals flow seamlessly. The scent and mist of gently burning Copal enveloped the ceremonial references to our earth, our ancestors and the natural elements. Our ceremony fused a loving couple into one, while guests laughed and teared up in deep emotion. The experience was magical.
Since that day we have been invited to perform various ceremony rituals, most of them weddings, some renewal of vows, birthdays as well as departing rituals. While every celebration is unique and every ritual extremely personal, all ceremonies are tied by love strings. No two ceremonies are ever the same and all of them have in store a sweet surprise brought to us by graceful serendipity.
